Here's what I've been loving lately:
Reading... The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. This book was on a few blogger's Instagrams as a great beach read. I needed something light after our book club's string of heavier novels lately, so I got it on Audible. It's the story of a (fictional) Hollywood legend and how life led her to seven husbands. It has a couple of twists I didn't see coming and found it a very enjoyable, easy listen. The characters are selfish, but at least they know it!
Watching... I am behind on almost all my shows thanks to moving, but the one show I really look forward to watching every week right now is Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's just so funny! The other shows I need to catch up on are The Deuce, Vice Principals, Riverdale, Real Housewives (NJ and Dallas- OC sucks this season), and Ozark.
Listening... Does anyone else hate the new podcast interface? I've noticed myself listening to less podcasts lately because it's so cumbersome to navigate when you subscribe to many pods, like I do. To boycott, I've been really enjoying listening to Kesha's new album via Spotify. Woman and Praying (the single on the radio right now) just really get me going in the car. Her voice is like sometimes bad and sometimes good and just plain addictive. If Kesha's not your thing, I've also been listening to Camila Cabello's Havana on repeat.
Cooking... I've made two batches of these brown butter rice crispy treats in the past two weeks. They are just that perfect sweet and salty balance! I sprinkle extra sea salt on top. I made a pan and sent them home with my friends who visited last weekend to enjoy on the way home. One of them texted me this morning saying they are delicious, so you know I'm not lying.
Buying... I bought these inexpensive sconces for both sides of our bed and I just love them! I shopped around for non-intrusive bedside lamps and finally settled on these. They come in white, matte black, bronze, and chrome. So much cheaper and easier to hang than other versions! I spray painted our gold to match the decor. I still highly recommend this spray paint for just about everything.
