I am so grateful that I work from home because it benefits my life (and my work!) in countless ways. Truly. I love it so much. However, as someone who loved 'dressing up' for work everyday, it took me about a year to realize that working in pajamas just doesn't suit my personality or make me happy. So, I spent two years trying to convince myself to wear 'real clothes' everyday, only to feel overdressed/uncomfortable all day long. So, I've learned to compromise! Athleisure is my friend. Below is my current inspiration.
I used to love when Katie Unger would do these posts. She doesn't blog anymore, but I thought I would do one inspired by her former blog anyway. Here's how it work: From the time you wake up until you go to bed, you take one photo every hour. Then, you post the photos in sequence and let them do the talking for you. Without further ado, below are snapshots of a typical workday at home for me.
NOTE: I tried to take photos during the minutes I was NOT at my desk, to avoid 8 or 9 boring photos of my laptop. But the truth is, like many millennials, 10 hours of my day are spent staring at a computer screen. I take small bursts of 30 minutes for walks outside, reading, meditating, exercising, and cooking to keep me sane!
What would your day look like in pictures?
Hope you all had a lovely, relaxing weekend! I did! I especially enjoyed having a nice date night at my favorite restaurant and sitting around and playing this board game with tea on Sunday morning. And now I'm looking forward to a regular ol' week at home. No travel and nothing out of the ordinary. Woohoo!
It's almost Valentine's Day! Are you a Valentine's Day hater? If so, maybe this post will help you learn to like it. I love hearts, and pink, and any excuse to have a pep in my step, so Valentine's Day is A-Ok in my book. Below is how I keep it stress-free and fun!
Woohoo! The Eagles won the Superbowl! Wasn't that game fun to watch? I thought it was really entertaining and yeah, I'm just really happy the Eagles won. For the game, I made ham and cheese sliders, spinach artichoke dip, and green (for Philly!) cookies. Needless to say, I am tired and in need of some healthier choices this week!
I am one of the lucky ones: I have adult acne. I remember as a teen thinking that by the time I graduated college, I wouldn't have to worry about breakouts anymore. Ha! Here I am, nearing thirty, and still dealing with acne. In fact, until recently I was getting more breakouts than I did in high school. Below is the routine I've found that's working for me now!
